Amul: Special Sightings and Off to Ujjain!

So me and Chai were waiting for the darsan doors to open for darsan arati, and 2 feet away from us this prabhu pays his obeisances.  As he gets up, I look at him, turn away, realize who it is, and look again ("double take").  It was none other than Sandipan Krishna prabhu himself, from good ol' UK bruv!  It was such a great suprise, we talked for a short time, he was in Delhi for business, and he decided to come to Vrindavan that morning.  Then he said he was leaving for Ujjain....
Which brings me to my next point, we are going to Ujjain tommorow too!  For H.H. Bhakti Charu Swami's Vyasa Puja.  I can't wait to see Maharaj and a lot of familiar faces.  We are leaving tommorow (Fri.) and coming back Tuesday morning.
Anyways, everything over here is fine, guess who else is here too?  Rupanuga prabhu, a fellow Towaco-vasi!  He's staying with us for a few days, we are having a blast, he's like a hometown hero around here.  He practically owns the place.
Classes are good, we had an NOD exam this week, and we also have a BG exam tommorow (7-12).
I can't believe its the middle of September already....

miss you all,
amul

ps. why has everyone stopped emailing? Being too busy is a lie and a lame excuse.

Haribol Babaji,

I write to you when I can, but see I am busy and... wait, that would be both a lie and lame.

Glad to hear that you have your maha plate so full in Vrindavan. Give my best to Sandipanji and Sri Srimad 1008 Rupanuga Srila Siddhantapada (feeling his separation we are considering a moment to be like twelve years or less, tears are flowing from our eyes every now and then, and we are feeling all vacant in Towaco in his absence).

Have safe and happy travels to Ujjain. Follow VBD's rules for safe travel in India:

1. Avoid eye contact with anyone.

2. Cover your mouth with a chaddar like you are an asthmatic Ninja.

3. Don't even think about buying something to eat from the platform.

4. Exceptions to rule #3 = hot jalebis when you have a sore throat and hot kachoris when you want them. Must be fried in front of you.

5. Don't use the bathroom. Holding it is not really that hard.

6. If a stranger strikes up a conversation with you, respond only with the translation of the Damodarastakam prayers. If they persist, repeat the part about the Bimba fruit.

7. Pit people against one another. For example, if a coolie helps you with your bags, and then you have to get a taxi, let your taxi driver (who is eager to be your new best friend) argue with the coolie when the coolie tries to cheat you. Then repeat the procedure with the taxi driver and the rikshawalla, until finally you reach your final destination.

8. Buy coconut water, but make sure the guy gives you a piece of the shell to use as a spoon. The wobbly fleshy insides are a great source of vitamin C, B1, B2, niacin, and iron.

9. Don't drop your suchi kit on anyone's head.

10. If you accidentally disregard Rule #9, make sure its during the end and not beginning of an overnight train journey. "Remember that time I dropped a suchi kit on your head," is not phrase you want to be repeating as someone glares at you for an 18 hour ride.
